Gazebo Hanging Bird Feeder

A six-sided feeder with a pitched roof that keeps the seed dry and the birds coming back. The clear hopper lets you see the seed level from a window, so you refill it when it is empty instead of guessing.

Seed feeds down to the tray as the birds eat, which means one fill lasts several days rather than one afternoon. Feeding holes run around all six sides, so several birds can eat at once without crowding each other off.

What you get

  • Gazebo-style hanging feeder with a weatherproof pitched roof
  • Clear seed hopper so you can see the level at a glance
  • Six-sided tray with feeding ports all the way around
  • Hanging cord included — hangs from a branch, hook or eave
  • Roof twists off for refilling and for cleaning

What to put in it

Black-oil sunflower brings the widest range of birds and is the one to start with. A general mixed seed works well too. This feeder suits cardinals, finches, chickadees, nuthatches, jays and sparrows.

Where to hang it

Five to six feet off the ground, about ten feet from a shrub or tree so birds have cover to duck into. Keep it either within three feet of a window or more than thirty feet away — that is what prevents window strikes.
